Sunday Snippets: Take Two Aspirin and Call Me in the Morning!

Easy as A, B, C . . . from BB

Be grateful for that compressed, little white tablet! Aspirin is an ingredient in hundreds of over‑the‑counter remedies. It is constantly being tested for new uses. Americans first bought mass‑produced aspirin over the drug counter in the 1920’s—nearly a century ago! And, alone, Americans buy over 50 billion aspirin and aspirin‑containing tablets a year. About 20 billion or so are taken for the nagging headache. By 1980, world‑wide production approached some 70 million pounds annually.

Now, THAT’s what I’d call a POUNDING headache!

(These facts came from the Reader’s Digest Book of Facts.)

See you day‑after‑tomorrow for Tuesday’s Tutor!
