Sunday Snippet: Kids Say the Darndest Things

Easy as A, B, C . . . from JC

My five-year-old granddaughter was riding in the car with her parents. She sat in the back seat practicing counting as they drove. After timely diligence, she made it to the nineties: 96… 97… 98… 99… 99… 99…

Her father noticed that she was stuck but did not want to just give her the answer.

“What comes after 99,” he asked.

She considered the question briefly and answered “The car explodes!”
