Sunday Snippets: Man on a Hot Tin Roof

EASY AS A, B, C . . . from JC
A man was working on a slick tin roof two stories above the ground when he started to slide toward the edge. Fearing that the fall would kill him, he started to pray. “Please Lord,” he said. “If you will spare my life I will do anything you ask. I will attend church, help the less fortunate and be the best friend and neighbor a man could be.” As soon as the man ended his prayer with a humble “amen”, a nail that was sticking up snagged his pants and stopped him a mere foot from the edge of the roof. Catching his breath, he looked over the edge at what would have been his demise. Grateful to be alive he looked up toward the heavens where he announced “Never mind Lord, I have it handled”.
